Free baggage rules at Aerohollanda
The size, weight and quantity of free baggage and carry-on baggage items permitted on Aerohollanda flights are subject to a number of criteria which we will outline on this page.

Please also read the information provided here on the rules that apply to the individual travel classes, to journeys operated by several airlines, or to checking baggage through to your final destination on connecting flights.
The maximum size per piece of baggage is 158 cm (width X + height Y + depth Z).
Baggage items that are larger or heavier and additional pieces of baggage will be carried as excess baggage. You can find the prices in our baggage calculator.

Bag tags and/or stickers for your baggage items are available free of charge at the check-in counter. You are also welcome to use your own bag tags. The data collected by Aerohollanda is generally used to fulfil the contract of carriage you have with us. It includes both passenger and baggage data. To ensure the onward transportation of your baggage with other airlines, as well as its timely processing at airports, we pass data on to the airlines and airports concerned. In addition, we support the Customs authorities in the fulfilment of their legal duties by allowing limited access to selected data.

Passengers have the option of booking additional pieces of baggage for a fee. Additional items of baggage can be added online, at the Aerohollanda service counter at the airport or by mail via the Service Center.
This also applies to additional items of baggage that exceed the permitted maximum weight and size for the different travel classes.
➔ Book additional baggage onlineOn continental routes Star Alliance Gold customers traveling on the Economy Basic fare on short-and medium-haul flights may take one carry-on bag in addition to their personal item free of charge. It is not permitted to take a second carry-on bag into the cabin.
On intercontinental* routes Star Alliance Gold customers have the option of taking one piece of baggage free of charge when travelling on the Economy Light fare and a second piece of baggage free of charge when travelling on the Premium Economy Light and Business Light fares.
Free carriage can only be registered at the check-in counter. If the corresponding pieces of baggage are booked online, via the Service Center or via a travel agency, applicable charges will apply. *This does not apply to flights to and from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
➔ To the baggage calculator- Irrespective of the booked travel class (except for the Economy Basic fare on short-and medium-haul flights and Economy Light fare), the route, babies (0–2 years) are entitled to a free allowance of one item of baggage up to a maximum of 23 kg and 158 cm (width + height + depth).
- Children over 2 years have the same free baggage allowance as adults in each travel class.
For each child, one item from the following list may be carried free of charge:
as checked baggage in the cargo hold:
- a foldable stroller
- a foldable baby carriage
- a foldable handcart
- a foldable bicycle trailer
- a baby carrier
OR
as additional carry-on baggage in the cabin:
- a certified child safety seat
- a baby carrier
- a child restraint system
PLUS
as part of your allowed carry-on baggage allowance:
- a so-called “Pocket Buggy” (fully collapsible and no larger than 55x40x23 cm)
Note: If the pocket buggy causes you to exceed your carry-on allowance, it will be loaded into the cargo hold.

➔ To the baggage calculatorIf you have booked a connecting flight, in most cases your baggage can be checked through to your final destination. That means your baggage will automatically be transported to your destination airport without you having to do anything when connecting to another flight.
Baggage cannot be checked through, if:
- there is a change of airport at the transfer location,
- there are operational and local restrictions,
- if the customs regulations of the transit country require that you collect your bags yourself from Baggage Reclaim, take them through Customs and then check them in again.
Example: Passengers entering India/USA/Canada on an intercontinental flight, who have booked an onward flight within those countries, are required to collect their bags from Baggage Reclaim during the stopover, take them through Customs and then check them in again at a check-in counter or bag drop-off counter.
